Week of February 24, 2020



Sixth Grade

In Language Arts,  We have finished ROTHMC and the movie. In the next couple of days we will be comparing the two. Simultaneously, we will be finishing up our unit on parts of figurative language. 

Homework for each night:

Monday- Make sure that all expository essays are turned in. Additionally, finish the idiom sentence activity started in class.

In Social Studies, we are talking about the Scientific Revolution, Enlightenment, and Age of Exploration in our next unit. Students will be given homework throughout the weeks to reinforce the main topics and ideas discussed in class.

Seventh Grade

In Language Arts, We are starting our class novel: The Outsiders. students are expected to keep up with their reading notebook (book questions) every week. Additionally we will be beginning a new writing assignment.

Monday -quiz on chapters 5-8 tomorrow.

Tuesday- ​Keep up with reading questions.

In Social Studies, We are moving forward to discuss the Industrial Revolution in both GB and America. discussing new inventions, labor laws, monopolies, and unions. 

Homework for each night:


Monday- Finish the primary source questions given in class. 

Tuesday -  Industrial Revolution, a view of society worksheet.
