Kindergarten - Ratchford

“Peek at the Week”
March 21, 2017

Happy spring!  We’ll be talking about how the weather changes, and what activities we like to do in the new season.  We’ll also read about the life cycle of chickens.

It’s time for letter U.  We’ll make an unusual umbrella and talk about unicorns and unicycles.  We’ll read about a little girl named Zara who helps her father sell hats and a peddler who travels selling caps on his head as we continue with our Reading theme about jobs.
The new high frequency word – out

In Math, we’ll continue to practice addition using pictures, counters, and number lines.

In Religion, we’ll talk about St. Joseph whose Feast Day was March 19th.  Then we’ll begin to discuss the importance of meals in our lives and in the time of Jesus.  We’ll read about the loaves and the fishes and the Last Supper.  We’ll also be helping with the Stations of the Cross this Wednesday at 2:00 p.m.
