“Peek at the Week”
April 24, 2017
I hope you had a
wonderful Easter break. Welcome back!!!
This week, we’ll begin to write a daily
journal. We’ll practice sentence writing
and personal narratives. Journal writing
is also a good opportunity to review sight words and expand our
vocabulary. We’ll continue to read
stories in our Animal Theme. Here is a
list of all the high frequency words we’ve learned so far:
the go to
like he come
here this me

want who out

Math, we’ll review subtraction from before Easter break. We’ll use a number line to solve subtraction
sentences. Then it’s “time” for telling
time on the hour.
Religion, we’ll discuss the death and resurrection of Jesus. We’ll compare Jesus to the life cycle of the
butterfly. Jesus changes death to life
Science, we’ll continue to discuss new life in spring. We’ll discuss how to take care of our Earth
and read The Lorax in honor of Earth
