“Be merciful as your Father is merciful.” (Luke 6:36)
We have sent home a copy of our morning prayer by
Sister of Mercy, Catherine McAuley for all to practice at home.
LLAMA LLAMA RED PAJAMA
During the year we will read many books by Anna Dewdney. Our little emergent readers are creating a loving memorial to our beloved author of the Llama series. We will incorporate our newly acquired fine motor and math skills to make paper bag puppets and quilts. Please send in a 1 inch square piece of any type of fabric and we will include it in our tribute.
EVERY CHILD IS AN ARTIST
Each of us take part in an ongoing art project. At the moment we are making self portraits. All children are welcome to express their talent by adding any element to their art work whenever they feel inspired. So far we have used crayons, watercolors, tempura, markers and glitter glue. But anything goes no matter where it came from or how they apply it. The children are allowed to ADD elements or REMOVE them, no matter how messy their fun ideas surface. This month students added ice skates to their portraits.
Your little learners created their very own pretend indoor ICE SKATING rink. They will
add a hot chocolate stand where they will utilize their cooking, math, reading pictures and social skills to make, buy and sell Melissa & Doug Keurig hot cocoa.
